The EU has awarded Oslo the title European Green Capital in fierce competition with 13 other cities. The Award shows that Oslo is among the cities spearheading the green urban transition. We invite all citizens and visitors alike to a year filled with green experiences.

The Opening Weekend here at SALT from January 4th to 6th gives you a glimpse into what the year will hold. The City of Oslo is cooperating with 170 organisatsions, academic institutions and businesses to fill the year with more than 350 meaningful events.

Our goal is to use the European Green Capital year to involve, inspire and mobilize the entire city to join forces and make Oslo even greener! In addition, the EU has given us an important task: to share our solutions with other cities.
